OMBRE POWDER BROWS

Ombre Powder Brows, also known as Powdered Brows, are a semi-permanent eyebrow styling technique that creates a soft shaded brow pencil look.

It is suitable for any skin type and results will lasts 2-3 years. Unlike Microblading the results are bolder but yet still natural and ombre powder brows do not have hairstrokes so this treatment is perfect for those wanting a defined and bolder brow. The Powder effect is done with a shading technique using a permanent makeup device, which is similar to a tattoo gun. A small needle to place pigment into the skin with a quick hand motion, resulting in a pixelated effect of powder makeup. In order to add density, the artists can layer the pixels repetitively, which will appear as though the brow was filled in with a pencil or brow pomade. The art in shading is to layer the pixels perfectly without appearing denser and darker then your natural eyebrow hair. As Microblading, Ellana will pick a suitable pigment which will match your existing eyebrow hair, skin tone and hair colour for the most natural results and the shape will be determined to suit your bone structure and facial features.

If you are on acne medication, it is advisable to wait 6 months after your course finishes,
to have microblading as your medication will thin your skin.

Please note: I advise booking an appointment around your menstrual cycle as you will be more sensitive and ensure your appointment is in advance of all holidays,
to allow your eyebrows to fully heal.

AFTERCARE

On the day of the procedure, (including touch up appointment) you will receive a complimentary aftercare kit, which will include an aftercare balm and Aftercare Wipes.

30 minutes after the procedure using the Aftercare wipe, gently wipe the eyebrows against the growth of the eyebrow hair backwards and forwards to remove any lymph fluid or remaining pigment, this will reduce scabbing. Then, blot dry and apply a very thin layer of balm provided
using a clean Q-tip.

1 hour later, wipe the brows again, this time using sterile water and a cotton pad, blot dry then apply a thin layer of balm.

 Repeat this process over the next 24 hours every 1-2 hours (4-5 times at least). If you had an evening appointment, try to clean your eyebrows as many times as you can before going to sleep. With the last clean care before bed, apply the balm and cover using the Phi Patches to protect them.
