Frequently Asked Questions
DOES MICROBLADING HURT?
You may feel slight discomfort; however, the treatment is almost pain free. The technique which I use to numb the area is highly effective. I do not ‘pre-numb’, instead I numb during the procedure when the initial hair strokes are drawn, and when the incisions are made. I then apply the anesthetic and the treatment is made comfortable for my clients.
IS THE TOUCH UP APPOINTMEMNT NECESSARY?
Microblading is a 2-step process, usually 4-8 weeks apart. The initial procedure and then the touch up appointment.
During the touch up appointment I can analyse the healed results how the pigment has healed in the skin and if desirable, we can then amend the pigment. We can add more hair strokes and detail to where the pigment/hair strokes have not retained in the skin and overall perfecting the eyebrows.
IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?
You must be over 18. Please do not feel offended if I ask for a copy of identification on appointment. If I believe you may be under the age of 18, I will not be able to carry
out the treatment.
HOW LONG DOES MICROBLADING LAST?
Microblading can last up to 18 months if aftercare is followed correctly, if the client has the ideal skin type for the treatment.
12 months is the minimum time Microblading will last for, before needing an annual touch up for a colour boost.
With very oily skin, a touch up is needed after around 6 months.
I HAVE HAD PREVIOUS SEMI PERMANENT MAKEUP, ARE YOU ABLE TO COVER OR TOUCH UP?
This depends on the existing semi permanent makeup/Microblading.
Please feel free to send me a picture when enquiring and I can assess whether I will be able to cover successfully, or if you will need removal first.
I do not offer touch up appointments to non-existing clients.
As mentioned this would need to be a new procedure,
depending on how the existing pigment has faded.
CAN YOU HAVE MICROBLADING DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING?
No, you cannot have Microblading if pregnant or breastfeeding.
You must wait until you have stopped breastfeeding, then have the treatment.
CAN I HAVE MICROBLADING WHILST ON ACNE MEDICATION?
You will need to wait at least 6 months until you have completed the course of acne medication.
WILL I NEED AN ALLERGY TEST?
All clients are required to have an allergy test at least 24 hours before procedure.
HOW LONG SHOULD I SCHEDULE FOR MY APPOINTMENT?
Please allow up to 2 hours and 30 minutes for your Microblading appointment.
